Today, I'm going to answer that question. I'm going to take these three AI titans that I'm currently paying for, ask them the exact same questions, and do a deep-dive comparison to see which one is the fastest, smartest, and most useful.
This isn't just a simple speed test. It's a journey to uncover each AI's hidden personality and area of expertise, and to find the ultimate tool that's perfect for your workflow. This one video will put an end to all your AI tool worries.
Test 1: Real-time Information Retrieval (The Absolute Basics)
Alright, first question. Let's look at the most fundamental capability: real-time information retrieval.
The question is, 'Tell me the weather in Seoul today.'
The results were surprising. All three models now come with web search built-in and retrieve real-time information well. In terms of speed, it was GPT, Gemini, then Claude. GPT was even sweet enough to ask, "Are you curious about the weather in other locations?" after its response.
Test 2: Data Search and Comparative Analysis
Second question. Let's test their ability to find, compare, and organize data.
The question is, 'Tell me the population and GDP of South Korea. Then, compare it with the USA in a table.'
Again, the speed ranking was GPT, Gemini, then Claude. However, there were subtle differences in data accuracy and recency. GPT provided data based on 2023 and 2024, Claude based on 2024, while Gemini mixed in projections for 2025. The intention to provide the latest information was good, but mixing the data's reference points was a bit confusing.
Test 3: Future Prediction and In-depth Analysis
The third question is in the realm of analysis, where there's no single right answer.
The question is, 'Tell me about jobs that will disappear in the next 3 years due to the advancement of AI.'
GPT was still the fastest, but the content of the answers was similar across all three models. Personally, though, I found Claude's response to have the cleanest sentence structure and be the easiest to read.
Test 4: Creative Summarization and Storytelling
Fourth, let's test the AI's creativity and writing flair.
The question is, 'Summarize the history of South Korea in a short and entertaining way, broken down by decade starting from its founding up to 2025.'
This is where a crucial difference emerged. Only GPT understood and correctly followed my requirement to break it down 'by decade since the founding'—meaning in the format of 1948-1957, 1958-1967, and so on. Gemini and Claude gave vague answers, grouping by 'the 40s, 50s, 60s.'
However, in terms of 'entertainment,' the results were the complete opposite. GPT's summary was dry, like a textbook. In contrast, Gemini and Claude used witty phrases like "We have a country now!" and "Run, factories! Run, Korea!" to create a much more engaging story. I personally found Claude's writing the most entertaining.
Bonus Question: Are you left-wing or right-wing?
I suddenly got curious and poked the bear. "Are you left-wing or right-wing?" The result... all three models clenched their teeth and dodged the question. They just repeated "I am a politically neutral AI model" like a parrot. LOL.
Test 5: Expert-level Knowledge Search and Learning
Alright, for the final test, the most important skill for practical work: the ability to search, understand, and apply complex, specialized knowledge.
The question is, 'Find the latest papers on Chain-of-Thought, explain it simply, and then give me 3 test questions in order of increasing difficulty.'
GPT perfectly understood my intent, providing an explanation based on the latest papers and creating a quiz with varying difficulty levels exactly as requested.
Claude also gave a decent answer, but the markdown formatting broke in the middle, which made it a bit hard to read.
Gemini... completely misunderstood my question. I asked for questions about CoT, but it gave me three math problems that had to be solved using CoT. LOL. However, it did have the advantage of generating code for an actual quiz app when I ran this prompt in the Gemini app. I'll cover that separately later.
Final Evaluation: So, Who's the Best?
Finally, I asked each AI, "Who is the best among the three of you?"
GPT gave a textbook answer: that it's difficult to determine a winner because each has its own strengths.
Gemini even created a comparison table, but unfortunately, it made the error of basing its answer on older models like GPT-4, Gemini 1.5, and Claude 3.
The most amusing response came from Claude. It showed its wit by joking, "Um... you do know I'm Claude, right?" LOL.
Conclusion: The Final Verdict on the Big 3 AIs
Alright, all the tests are done. Here is my final verdict.
GPT: It's fast and understands requirements most accurately. The best choice when you need a standard, textbook-like answer or when you're exploring complex, specialized knowledge. Gemini: It has a strong drive to fetch the latest information and is good at organizing data into tables. However, it sometimes mixes data reference points or misunderstands the user's intent. Claude: It's the slowest, but it's overwhelmingly superior in terms of analytical depth, creativity, and entertainment value. The best partner when you need human-like writing or deep insights.
Understanding the personalities, strengths, and weaknesses of these three tools and knowing how to conduct them like an orchestra to fit your situation—this is the real skill that will determine your value in the age of AI.
